100 YEARS OF HISTORY
Deportivo Cali is the only team in Colombia with 100-years of history. Over the years, the youth Academy has managed to develop the best soccer talent that South America has seen. Some of the great players that have come out of Deportivo Cali are Mario Alberto Yepes, Faryd Mondragon, Abel Aguilar, Rafael Santos Borre, Luis Fernando Muriel, Jeison Murillo, Christian Zapata, Nicolas Benedetti and Harold Preciado.
A PROVEN METHODOLOGY
For many years, the Deportivo Cali methodology has stood out for training athletes and integral people in society based on the focus of thematic axes such as development of being, tactical, technical and conditional. The methodology is composed of contents, means, and teaching methods. The Deportivo Cali Soccer Academy has been a pioneer in supplying players to the youth ranks and the professional team.
UNICEF ALLIANCE – FIRST CLUB IN COLOMBIA
Deportivo Cali and the United Nations Children’s Fund – UNICEF joined forces in an alliance, whose objective is to generate positive changes in the lives of children and adolescents in Colombia, in addition to promote the defense of the rights of children and adolescents in an environment of safety, care, participation and protection.
Our Sports Methodology seeks to DEVELOP sports, social and cultural pedagogical processes in children and young people between 4 and 18 years of age, through training actions that guarantee the INTEGRAL IMPROVEMENT of their quality of life and the physical, technical and tactical foundation in different sports, mainly in soccer.
